This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs the cancellation of course enrollments and the eligibility for refunds for products and services purchased through ekidemy ("ekidemy," "we," "our," or "us"). This Policy forms an integral part of our Terms of Service and should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and other applicable policies.

By purchasing or enrolling in any paid course or service offered through ekidemy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy.

1 Scope

This Policy applies to all purchases made through the ekidemy website, including but not limited to:

  • Individual online courses
  • Course bundles
  • Learning programs
  • Certifications
  • Workshops
  • Digital educational resources
  • Subscription-based learning services, where applicable

Different refund terms may apply where expressly stated on the course or product page at the time of purchase.

2 Cancellation of Enrollment

Users may cancel their enrollment in a course at any time through their account dashboard or by contacting ekidemy Support.

Cancellation of enrollment does not automatically entitle the user to a refund. Refund eligibility shall be determined in accordance with this Policy.

Where a subscription service is offered, cancellation prevents future recurring charges but does not affect charges already incurred or the user's access during the current billing period unless otherwise specified.

3 Refund Eligibility

Refund requests may be considered only under the circumstances described below.

3.1 Eligible Refund Requests

Subject to verification and compliance with this Policy, ekidemy may approve a refund where:

  • The course was purchased accidentally and the refund request is submitted within the applicable refund period.
  • A duplicate payment has been processed for the same course.
  • The user experiences a verified technical issue that prevents reasonable access to the purchased content and ekidemy is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable period.
  • The purchased course becomes permanently unavailable due to circumstances solely attributable to ekidemy.
  • Applicable consumer protection laws require the issuance of a refund.
Refund approval remains at the sole discretion of ekidemy except where otherwise required by applicable law.
4 Non-Refundable Purchases

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, refunds will generally not be issued under the following circumstances:

  • The refund request is submitted after the applicable refund period has expired.
  • The user has substantially completed, downloaded, or consumed a significant portion of the course content.
  • The purchase was made during a promotional campaign expressly designated as non-refundable.
  • The user is dissatisfied with course difficulty, teaching style, personal learning preferences, or subjective expectations after significant course consumption.
  • The user's inability to access the course results from incompatible devices, inadequate internet connectivity, unsupported software, or other circumstances outside ekidemy's reasonable control.
  • The account has been suspended or terminated due to violations of the Terms of Service.
  • Certificates have already been issued for successful completion of the course, unless required by applicable law.
  • Refund requests are based on circumstances unrelated to the quality or availability of the purchased Services.
5 Refund Request Period

Unless a different period is specified for a particular course or required by applicable law, refund requests must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days from the date of purchase.

Requests received after the applicable refund period may be declined.
6 Refund Review Process

To request a refund, users must submit a request through ekidemy's designated support channel and provide:

  • Full name
  • Registered email address
  • Order or transaction reference
  • Course name
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Any supporting documentation requested by ekidemy

Incomplete or inaccurate requests may delay processing.

ekidemy reserves the right to request additional information where reasonably necessary to evaluate a refund request.

7 Processing of Approved Refunds

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds shall be processed using the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, financial institution, or payment network.
  • ekidemy is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways, or third-party financial service providers.
  • Any applicable taxes, currency conversion charges, banking fees, or payment processing charges imposed by third parties may not be refundable unless required by applicable law.
8 Promotional Offers and Discounts

If a purchase was made using promotional pricing, discount codes, coupons, bundled offers, or other special promotions, the refund amount, if approved, shall be calculated based on the actual amount paid by the user and not the standard listed price.

Where refunding one component of a bundled purchase affects eligibility for promotional pricing, ekidemy reserves the right to recalculate the applicable purchase price and deduct any resulting difference from the refund amount.

9 Subscription Services

For subscription-based Services, where offered:

  • Users may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time before the next billing cycle.
  • Cancellation prevents future subscription charges.
  • Subscription fees already paid are generally non-refundable.
  • Access to subscription content shall continue until the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise specified.
10 Fraud Prevention

ekidemy reserves the right to deny refund requests where it reasonably determines that:

  • Fraudulent activity has occurred.
  • Payment was unauthorized.
  • The refund request is abusive or made in bad faith.
  • Multiple excessive refund requests have been submitted.
  • The user has violated the Terms of Service.

Where appropriate, suspected fraudulent activity may be reported to payment providers or competent authorities.

11 Chargebacks

Users are encouraged to contact ekidemy before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback through their financial institution.

If a chargeback is initiated without first providing ekidemy a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue, ekidemy reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to purchased Services while the dispute remains pending, subject to applicable law.
12 Exceptional Circumstances

ekidemy may, at its sole discretion, approve refunds outside the scope of this Policy in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Serious medical emergencies.
  • Verified duplicate transactions.
  • Extended technical outages attributable solely to ekidemy.
  • Other extraordinary situations determined by ekidemy on a case-by-case basis.
Approval of any exception shall not establish a precedent for future refund requests.
13 Changes to This Policy

ekidemy reserves the right to amend or update this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time.

Revised versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the Website unless otherwise specified.

Refund requests shall be evaluated in accordance with the version of this Policy that was in effect on the date of the original purchase, unless required otherwise by applicable law.
